We have 3 carnivals each year. Students wear their house colours to these carnivals. These include:
Term 1: Swimming
The school swimming carnival is held at Cabarita Pool. Students in Years 3-6 participate in this carnival in their age division. Eight year old students from Year 2 who are proficient swimmers are invited to participate in the Year 3-6 carnival. The carnival involves the following events: 100 metres freestyle, 50 metres freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and individual medley. 25 metres races and novelty events are held for any students who do not participate in any other events.
Term 2: Cross Country
Students in years 3-6 participate in this carnival in their age division. Any eight year old students from Year 2 are welcome to take part. The carnival is held at Timbrell Park. Distances run are 8-9, 10 year olds (2km), 11 year olds, 12/13 year olds (3km).
Term 3: Athletics
K-6 participate in the Athletics Carnival which is held at Campbell Oval, Canterbury. The carnival involves the following events: 75 metres (5, 6, 7 year olds), 100 metres, 200 metres, 800 metres, 4 x 100 metre relays, long jump, discus, high jump and shot put. K-2 compete in novelty events on the day.
Term 4: Ball Games
Students in years 3-6 participate in this carnival which is held at school. The carnival involves the following events: Junior (Years 3 & 4) Mixed Corner Spry, Senior (Years 5 & 6) Mixed Captain Ball & Senior Mixed Tug-O-War.
