Dobroyd Point Public School is located in Haberfield, a quiet and historic suburban environment close to Iron Cove on Sydney Harbour.

We serve a school community where students engage in a wide range of artistic, cultural, social and academic activities that support learning in all areas of the curriculum.

The current school enrolment is 140 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 in seven classes. Being a small school allows us to focus on individual learning. Our Gifted and High Potential program, and our comprehensive Learning Support program ensures that all children are given the opportunity to achieve their best.

Our students benefit from the outstanding outdoor spaces available for them for both play time and for outdoor learning. Our thriving Gardening Club offers our students hands-on experience with growing vegetables and flowers, and our upcoming new Living Garden funded by a Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant and Bush Tucker Gardens will further develop students' understanding about their local environment. Students also enjoy spending time in our Yarning Circle and our beautiful new playground areas.

Our school has a modern library, hall, COLA and canteen and twelve classrooms. We are known as the school among the trees and our high-quality educational facilities provide a positive, safe and caring environment where each student feels respected, nurtured and challenged to achieve individual excellence.

Students are taught by a committed and professional staff who work with energy and enthusiasm to ensure students achieve their personal best across all areas of the curriculum.

Respect, cooperation, compassion and excellence are core school values. Bullying, racism and violence are not tolerated. We embed Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) into our teaching and learning programs, reinforcing the expectations of kindness, responsibility and resilience.

A strong partnership between parents and the school is evident in the involvement of parents in many different aspects of school life. The school has also established links with many local businesses and organisations that warmly support its activities in a variety of ways.
